Teen star Miley Cyrus has gone public with her latest love interest Avan Jogia, a Canadian actor
of Indian origin.

The Hannah Montana star introduced the actor to her family during her 18th birthday bash recently, reported People online.

Jogia has starred in a series of Nickelodeon shows and is now making the move onto the big screen.

The Party in the USA hitmaker’s amorous behaviour with Jogia, 18, however has raised a few eyebrows.

In a photograph snapped during the party Cyrus was caught sprawled over the bar of Hollywood club Trousdale at 2am, with her new boyfriend kissing her.

The teenager was wearing a pair of skin-tight black leather trousers, black high heeled boots and a cropped black leather bra top, quite a far leap from her Hannah Montana days.

Cyrus and Jogia were first linked together in October when they were spotted heading out to lunch together and later attending a Halloween party.

The blonde beauty is fresh from her split with her previous boyfriend, Last Song co-star Liam Hemsworth, who she dated for around a year.

According to recent reports, Hemsworth had hooked up with a blonde named Katy, who he is said to have met him at the Shorebreak Hotel in Huntington Beach, California, Aug 7.

“She and a girlfriend approached him at the bar. Girls were fawning over him all night, and he was clearly loving the attention, but he really took a liking to her,” said a source.

“They were all throwing back beers and having a great time. Later, he suggested that they all go back to the Doubletree hotel, where they were staying, to keep the party going.

“Miley’s name was never brought up. He certainly didn’t mention her,” the source added.

MILEY CYRUS has sparked rumours she’s started another on-set romance, just days after her split from actor LIAM HEMSWORTH.

The Hannah Montana star fell for Hemsworth after they were cast as lovers in the movie The Last Song, but Hemsworth recently confirmed the pair had split.

And new reports suggest Cyrus has already moved on and into the arms of Douglas Booth, an actor who appears in her forthcoming comedy LOL: Laughing Out Loud.

The pair were spotted cosying up at Waterford, Michigan restaurant the Lion’s Den while out with their co-stars earlier this week (begs23Aug10).

The restaurant’s bartender tells PerezHilton.com, “I thought they were boyfriend and girlfriend, they were flirting so much. She was really fawning all over him, acting really girly-girly. For his part, he seemed to be eating up the attention…The flirting was very respectful and no, they didn’t (kiss). They were among friends and other people in the restaurant – but she was falling all over him.”

Singer-actress MIley Cyrus has revealed that the secret to a good screen kiss is the lighting, so she always befriends the lighting guys as they always make her look good.

“What makes the perfect movie kiss? I’ll let you into a little secret: the best thing that I learned on my show is to become best friends with your lighting guy,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted her as saying.

“That way, they make you look really good in every single scene – especially for that perfect movie kiss. That’s my main trick as an actress. Make friends with the lighting guy and you’ll be fine!”

MILEY CYRUS’ family were quietly pleased when an ash storm from Iceland’s Eyjafjallajokull volcano kept the actress/singer from the U.K. premiere of her new film THE LAST SONG – because it meant they had more time to spend with her and new boyfriend LIAM HEMSWORTH.

The lovebirds and co-stars were supposed to be in London for the screening on Tuesday (20Apr10), but when all planes to and from Europe were grounded last week (15Apr10) following the volcano eruption, their plans were scrapped.

Cyrus was upset when she learned she would be unable to fly to the U.K., but her family made her realise it was a good thing.

Speaking via satellite on Britain’s Live From Studio Five TV show, she says, “I was kind of freaking out about how I was going to make up all of the things that I was supposed to do. I was especially bummed just about the premiere that I couldn’t go to; that was the thing that made me the most sad.

“Me and my family were joking around; they were like, ‘Miley you’re such a freak about working and working all the time that the only thing that can stop you from going to do more work is a volcano’. They were like, ‘That’s really sad… that’s the only way we can get you to spend any time with us is a volcano?’

“It was pretty crazy when I heard that the trip was getting cancelled, because of course I was stressing out about packing… As soon as I finished packing all of my stuff, which is very hard when you’re going away for a while to a completely different country… I got the text, ‘You’re not going any more’. I was like ‘Oh, great’.”

Critics slammed Miley Cyrus in her first movie made outside her ‘Hannah Montana’ character but ‘The Last Song’ was still expected to perform well at box offices. The weepy romantic drama, written by best-selling author Nicholas Sparks, was deemed melodramatic and formulaic and claimed only a seven percent approval rating on review aggregator www.rottentomatoes.com.

Lou Lumenick of the New York Post called it “the most dubious ‘dramatic’ debut of any singer since Britney Spears” and took Cyrus to task for “displaying approximately one and a half expressions.” Chicago Tribune critic Michael Phillips said Cyrus “plays an angry, heartbroken girl in a way that, sad to say, shows off her ‘Hannah Montana’ – drilled tricks and tics and air of entitlement more than her dramatic range.” The Philadelphia Inquirer was kinder, with critic Carrie Rickey remarking that the movie was a “relatively-restrained tear-jerker”.

The poor reviews were unlilkely to dissuade her legions of young fans.

Miley Cyrus thrilled hundreds of “Today” show fans while performing songs from her new CD on Friday, but disappointed others when an old YouTube video of her mocking fellow Disney stars Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez resurfaced in the media.

Miley later apologized in Popstar! magazine, saying she was “super sorry.”

HANNAH MONTANA star MILEY CYRUS had to busk for coffee when she discovered she’d lost her credit cards recently.

The teen sensation was out shopping last month (Sep07) when she realised she had no way of paying for anything, so she performed an impromptu set in a Starbucks coffee shop in Los Angeles.

She explains, “I lost my credit cards that I had just gotten and I was learning responsibility and how to take care of it and I had no money and I really wanted to go shopping.

“So I played at Starbucks and I put my guitar (case) open – and I made $7, so I got me a Starbucks.”
