Christina Aguilera has finally confirmed reports she is expecting a baby with husband JORDAN BRATMAN. The Beautiful singer has previously refused to comment on the status of her bulging belly, despite her father Fausto Aguilera and her pal Paris Hilton letting slip about the 26-year-old’s happy news earlier this year (07)

The couple has also been spotted shopping at baby boutiques in Los Angeles on numerous occasions in recent weeks. But Aguilera, 26, has now spoken out for the first time about her excitement at impending motherhood, revealing to U.S. magazine Glamour that she is expecting the tot in the New Year (08). When asked about her New Year’s resolutions for 2008, Aguilera says, “That’ll be about the time I enter into mommyhood, so… I’m hoping to have started a beautiful family with my husband!” And music executive Bratman is delighted at the prospect of becoming a father. She adds, “Oh, he’s thrilled! He’s just great.” The baby will be a first for both Aguilera and Bratman, who married in November 2005.

“I know I could have gone down that route and I’m so grateful I never did. We have this new thing about staying in and being cosy. Just the two of us hanging out at home, snuggling up on the sofas.”

Christina Aguilera told press, “I prefer curves on women. I love women’s bodies. I prefer to look at a woman’s body than a man’s because it is so much more sexy.” And the Dirrty singer is unapologetic about her preference.
“I don’t mean to scare Jordan (her husband), but I have a big soft spot for women in general,” said the 26-year-old singer. Of course, if he’s like most guys, that fact won’t bother him at all.

Christina talked openly about her own body image, and confessed her comfort with her own body. “I used to be able to eat anything, but then you hit your mid 20s and bits of flesh appear on your body you never saw before and it’s like, ‘Woah, what’s this here?’ Now I’m definitely a curvy girl. Contrary to popular belief, the singer has cooled down since getting hitched.

New reports are claiming Christina Aguilera is expecting a baby boy.

The ‘Beautiful’ singer’s friends have reportedly only been buying blue baby accessories for her since she revealed to them that she’s expecting.

A source told OK! magazine; “Christina’s friends have been out shopping for baby gifts and they are all boy-themed, all blue.”

However Christina and husband Jordan Bratman have not publicly confirmed she’s pregnant but is said to be six months and has been photograhed lately with a visible baby bump.

Meanwhile, Christina revealed she hopes her baby will be bilingual since she already speaks fluent Spanish and is looking to teach her unborn child the lanuage.

She said in an interview with InStyle magazine; “I definitely want my kids to know Spanish. And I’m taking my tapes on tour.”

In other news, the sexy pop star revealed she is looking to stop singing for the time being and is going to take up acting.

Christina is ready to take on Hollywood and is currently reading several scripts to find the perfect role.

She said during a press conference in Shanghai, “I am looking forward to moving into another creative outlet and that outlet is acting.

It is something that, when I attempt to do it, I want to do it right so it’s important for me that I do choose the right first role for myself.”

But she does insist she doesn’t want to give up singing for good and is already coming up with new ideas for her next album.

She said; “It will be completely different. We’re going to keep it short and sweet this time.”

Christina Aguilera has been told to give it a rest. She’s taking it easy after a medical scare Down Under.

According to The Sun, the singer collapsed backstage at her gig in Melbourne on Friday.

Christina suffered breathing difficulties and passed out, cutting the concert short as doctors rushed to her aid.

She was kept under observation and confined to her bed, forcing her to cancel any remaining Melbourne dates.

While pregnancy speculation is rife, Christina’s management have yet to confirm she’s expecting. Her figure-hugging costumes are reportedly being altered almost weekly as her body changes shape.

The faint is being blamed on flu.

The Beautiful singer’s official line is, “I want to personally apologise to all of my fans. I am truly disappointed that I won’t be able to share my show with you all.”

The facility is known for its state-of-the-art ultrasounds and expertise in high-risk pregnancies. The singer was seen later that day with what appeared to be a baby bump.

The 26-year-old star married the music executive on November 19, 2005.
Christina said last year, “I’m going to do one more album and then consider settling down and having kids.”
