RUSSELL CROWE has slammed fellow Australian BAZ LUHRMANN for failing to pay for stables the actor built for him. Horse riding enthusiast Crowe set up the stables on his ranch near Sydney for Luhrmann’s forthcoming outback epic Australia – and was secretly hoping the move would secure him a role in the movie.

But Crowe failed to land the role and was left to foot the bill for the newly assembled stables. He says, “I was going to be in that film and I was happy to build the stables. But the way things turned out we didn’t do it together – and no one’s paid me.” Australia stars Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman.

RUSSELL CROWE has penned an emotional letter to his two sons about the honour of fatherhood, but he won’t give it to them for another 25 years.

The Gladiator actor will bury the letter he wrote to Charlie (3) and Tennyson (1) in a time capsule, which they will only be allowed to open in 2032.

He writes, “Our lives have been blessed by you. Whatever comes along I will always love you with my whole being and soul.”

Crowe also urges his sons to take care of their mother Danielle Spencer, adding, “I know I would have brought you up to love your mother above all.

My hope is that you find the things, people and love that bring you love and joy. Every day my life is better because I am a father.”
