Actor OWEN WILSON has sparked rumours of a new romance with BIONIC WOMAN star Michelle Ryan. The Wedding Crashers  star – recovering from a suicide attempt in August (07) – has reportedly been spotted dining with the 23-year-old British actress at Los Angeles eatery Nobu and bodyboarding with her at the beach. And the 39-year-old is said to be smitten with the Hollywood newcomer’s relative inexperience of life in the glitzy movie town.

A souce tells British newspaper The Sun, “Michelle’s one of the few women in Hollywood who looks like herself and hasn’t had loads of work done. She’s refreshingly natural. She’s also pretty innocent about how this whole town works, which Owen finds endearing. And then there’s that British sense of humour.” Production has halted on Bionic Woman following the Hollywood writers’ strike, leading television insiders to believe the sci-fi show will be dropped.

Remember back in seventh grade when you broke up with your boyfriend via a note that was folded into a triangle? Well Dax Shepard didn’t even get one of those from Kate Hudson when she dumped him.
In fact, Dax had to find out it was over with the You, Me, and Dupree actress from a friend of his.
A source said, “Dax got a phone call about it from a friend. He’s upset that she didn’t bother to say anything to him.”
However, the recent Owen Wilson suicide attempt may have thrown a wrench into Dax’s romantic arrangement with Hudson. Reportedly, she was devastated by the news, and may have decided to rethink things with Wilson.

GWYNETH PALTROW’s actress mother BLYTHE DANNER was “heartbroken” to hear the news OWEN WILSON tried to kill himself last month (Aug07). Danner worked with Wilson on the 2000 comedy Meet the Parents and its 2004 sequel Meet the Fockers, while her daughter Paltrow once dated Wilson’s younger brother Luke.

She says, “It was heartbreaking to hear. This is such a tough business and here he is at the pinnacle so you wonder how this happened. We just send him the best and loving wishes for good health. “He just kind of breezed in and breezed out for Meet The Fockers – he was only there for one day and for Fockers he was a fine fiddle. “(It’s) very sad because I know his parents a little bit. I’ve met them and Luke and they’ve been so wonderful to us and anytime and anything that happens, your heart goes out to them.”

Wilson allegedly slashed his wrists and was found distressed at his Santa Monica, California home by his brother Andrew on 26 August (07). He was taken to a nearby hospital emergency room and then spent a week under supervision at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

OWEN WILSON has pulled out of his latest movie project in an attempt to recover from an alleged suicide bid. Wedding Crashers star Wilson was reportedly found by his brother Andrew at his home in Santa Monica, California on Sunday (26Aug07), with sources claiming he cut his wrists and took a number of pills.

He is currently recovering in Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. According to Variety magazine, Wilson has pulled out of movie comedy Tropic Thunder which he was due to begin shooting with actor pal Ben Stiller in two weeks time.

A source tells the magazine, “Ben and Owen have made eight movies together. And he can’t wait to work with Owen again. It’s just not going to be on this film.” It is not known if Wilson will be replaced or if his role will be dropped from the script. A spokesman for DreamWorks and Wilson were unavailable for comment.

Owen Wilson attempted suicide on Sunday and was hospitalised, reports The National Enquirer and Star magazine.

“He slit his left wrist and took an indeterminate amount of pills,” they reported.

“He was discovered by a family member who summoned help. His wrist was sutured and bandaged at the (St John) hospital (in California).
