It’s hard to keep a new baby secret when your last name is Kidman, but Oscar winner Nicole and husband Keith Urban managed just that with second daughter, Faith Margaret. Born with the help of a surrogate mother, Faith’s arrival was kept under wraps to protect her from media attention.

Nicole has said that keeping quiet about Faith was one of the toughest things she has ever had to do, and the couple thanked everyone for their support, “our gestational carrier” in particular.

Also parents to 2-year-old Sunday Rose, the couple reveals that Faith Margaret’s name was inspired by their adopted hometown Nashville, the nerve centre of American country music. The Southern town has a long tradition of double names, and Margaret was the name of Nicole’s grandmother.

Nicole credited her first daughter’s unexpected appearance to swimming in the waters of a small Australian Outback town during the filming of “Australia.” She and six other women became pregnant after swimming in Kununurra.

Her turn as writer Virginia Woolf won her an Oscar and now Nicole Kidman is all set to play author Ernest Hemingway’s love interest in a bio-pic.

The Australian actress is also producing the movie Hemingway and Gellhorn, about the love affair between the Farwell To Arms’ author and war correspondent Martha Gellhorn.

The 45-year-old actress will be paired opposite Clive Owen who will play the literary icon in the film directed by Philip Kaufman, reported Daily Mail online.

“It has long been a dream to make a film about the two lovers. She was such a fascinating woman and he was a hell of a man,” said Kidman.

Gellhorn was one of the first female war correspondents and famously covered the Spanish Civil War and conflicts in Central America. She was married to Hemingway, but their volatile union was brief.

Meanwhile the actress’ two-year-old daughter Sunday Rose is keeping her and husband, country singer Keith Urban, busy.

“She’s now two years and two-months old, is walking and talking. She’s a real live-wire. It’s not the Terrible Twos time, it’s the Good Twos time. She’s into everything and wants to know about everything,” said Kidman.

Actress Nicole Kidman goes out of her way to ensure her two-year-old daughter’s health, and so she spends hours looking after her garden so that she can feed her family home-grown vegetables.

The Oscar-winning actress, who lives with her singer husband, Keith Urban, and their daughter Sunday Rose, likes to serve organic and healthy food, reports contactmusic.com.

“She likes to have fresh organic produce for their daughter Sunday. She doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty to make sure that the lettuce and corn come out perfectly,” the report said.

With husband Keith Urban expected to join the actress for her actual birthday today, it was left to family and friends to help her celebrate her last weekend as a 30-something on Bondi Beach.

It was largely an all-girl’s affair, as Kidman’s sister Antonia and their mum Janelle invited 30 of the star’s closest pals from Australia and Hollywood to the Icebergs restaurant for a pre-birthday dinner.

And Kidman, who will also celebrate the first anniversary of her marriage on June 25, certainly isn’t feeling sore about hitting 40.
In a recent interview, she said, “It feels just right. I don’t feel what I thought that wretched age was going to be like. I have done a lot of things and it has been full up to this point, especially the past few years, so I am grateful for that.”
