Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhal may not have confirmed their romance, but the two Hollywood heavyweights have nevertheless been spotted unashamedly flirting.

The pair were apparently holding hands and giggling as they accompanied Reese’s two children, eight-year-old Ava and four-year-old Deacon, while they trick or treated on Wednesday (October 31st).

The 31-year-old actress, dressed as a witch, was spotted laughing and screaming as the 26-year-old Brokeback Mountain star chased her around the Los Angeles neighbourhood of Brentwood.

“They were holding hands and swinging them in the air as they walked around the neighbourhood,” a source told Usmagazine.com.

“Reese was laughing at everything Jake was saying.

“Jake tapped Reese on the butt and then she hit him back – they began running a circle hitting each other! Then Jake picked Reese up off her feet and she screamed. Sometimes he came up from behind and nuzzled his big hairy mask into her neck.”

Hollywood romances are so hit or miss. With the pressures of celebrity, it’s like everything has to be absolutely perfect in order to have a lasting relationship. And it looks like another one has bitten the dust.

Reese Witherspoon may have jumped back into the dating pool too soon. Only five months after she split from ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, the actress took on a whole new relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal.

The couple started dating in March, and went full-speed ahead from the beginning. Jake met her mother, bonded with her kids, and pretty much filled the Ryan-shaped-hole in Reese’s life. And it looks like she should’ve taken more time before becoming romantically involved.

“She cares for Jake, but the timing is crappy,” says a source close to Witherspoon. “She doesn’t have enough emotional space for him right now.”
Another insider reports, “She has either called it off or is just taking a break.”
And the story is the same from Jake’s end. A source close to the actor was recently told by Jake, “I’m single.”

Jake Gyllenhaal spent his Saturday doing what most of us do — catching up with friends and family.

The Brokeback Mountain actor was seen dining at a hip Indian restaurant, Bombay Talkie, in the Chelsea neighbourhood with a female friend, his mom Naomi and her friend.

Looks like Jake loves our desi khana just as much as we do.
