Comedienne JOAN RIVERS has taken aim at Hollywood beauty ANGELINA JOLIE – branding the sexy actress “stupid”.
The outspoken funnywoman used the Tomb Raider star as the centrepiece for her gags while being interviewed on U.K. TV show GMTV.
And Rivers didn’t hold back.
She told reporters, “”Well, I’ve worked with stupid actresses – I’ve worked with Angelina Jolie – she saw a sign that said ‘WET FLOOR’ one time, and she did!”
“I mean she’s attractive, but not a bright girl. Stunningly beautiful but stupid…she would have asked Stevie Wonder, ‘What’s your favourite colour?’”
It’s not the first time Rivers has attacked celebrities on British TV – in June (08) she was asked to leave an interview on U.K. show Loose Women after she called actor Russell Crowe a “f**king s**t”.

The birth mother of Angelina Jolie’s adopted Ethiopian daughter has dismissed reports she wants her child back, insisting she is happy for the Hollywood actress and her boyfriend Brad Pitt to raise her baby. Little Zahara Jolie-Pitt was adopted by the couple in 2005, but reports surfaced last week (ends16Nov07) alleging the paperwork accompanying the adoption was wrong in stating the girl was an orphan – because her mother, Mentewab Dawit Lebiso, is still alive. Lebiso is alleged to have told U.S. magazine In Touch, “I want my daughter to come home to see where she is from.

“Her grandmother and I both tried very hard to raise her, and I want her to come home to regain her identity.” But Lebiso has denied making such comments, and says her words were misinterpreted by “so-called journalists” who claimed to be working for Jolie. She added, “I have never disputed the adoption. It was something I never said. “I have no ill feelings towards her (Jolie). “I think my daughter is a very fortunate human being to be adopted by a world-famous lady. I wish them all the success they both deserve.” The adoption of two-year-old Zahara was ruled legal on Friday (16Nov07) by the agency that first approved it in 2005. Dr Tsegaye Berthe, head of the Wide Horizons for Children Agency slammed the rumours Lebiso wanted the girl back as “media hype by unethical journalists”.

ANGELINA JOLIE was shocked by the amount of violence in her new movie BEOWULF – and can’t believe it can be seen by 12-year-olds. The 32-year-old beauty is in awe of Beowulf’s special effects, but insists she won’t be letting her young children see it because it would be too upsetting.

And she is surprised the movie has been given a 12A certificate in the U.K., allowing children aged 12 to 15 to see the movie if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Speaking at the European premiere of the film in London on Sunday (11Nov07), she says, “It’s remarkable it has the rating it has. It’s quite an extraordinary film, and some of it shocked me.”

Jolie provides the voice of a shape-shifting demon, starring alongside British actor Ray Winstone in Robert Zemeckis’ high-tech adventure, based on the old English poem of the same name.

Sarah Jessica Parker has revealed she admires actress Angelina Jolie for adopting.

The ‘Sex and the City’ beauty believes it’s incredible that Angelina has opened up her home to three underprivileged children, Maddox, Pax and Zahara, and admits she doesn’t think she could do the same thing.

Sarah, who has a young son with husband Matthew Broderick, said; “It’s too late for me to have a big family, I can’t imagine it now. But I do think that what people like Angelina Jolie do is amazing.

I love being a mother and I would be thrilled if my family were larger but I can’t imagine having eight children.”

Sarah also admits she does find it difficult sometimes to balance motherhood and work because of all the attention her career brings.

She told Britain’s OK! magazine; “The loss of privacy scares me, that’s why you don’t hear me complaining about that stuff and that is why you can’t trap me into talking about the paparazzi.

I don’t know if I have found a happy balance with the cultural phenomenon of celebrity, especially what has happened over the last five years.

I don’t think I will ever understand or strike a balance with that.”

Meanwhile, Sarah recently revealed she would love to make a perfume scent with the sweat of her four-year-old son James.

She revealed to USA Today newspaper; “Not to sound treacly, but the smell I would most like to bottle would be how my son’s bedroom smells when you walk in.

It’s clean, and it’s mixed with their sweat while they’re sleeping and the cotton of their blankets and the moisture that’s right underneath their hair. But you almost don’t want to share it.”

Angelina Jolie has not been dropped as the face of fashion line St. John, despite reports to the contrary.

The Tomb Raider actress, 32, took on the role as brand ambassador in 2005, but recent reports allege Jolie had been fired from the position. However, a spokesman for St. John has refuted the speculation. He tells Us Weekly, “Rumours that St. John has fired Angelina Jolie are untrue. She appears in the current St John’s campaign and she will appear in the upcoming Spring campaign as well.”

It is being reported that Angelina Jolie and partner Brad Pitt are looking to adopt another child from Burma.

The Hollywood couple are said to have enlisted the help of Dr. Jane Aronson, who runs the Worldwide Orphans Foundation, and a leading Burmese monk to help the pair arrange visits to local orphanages in the country torn apart by war.

Angelina and Brad, who already have three adopted children, Maddox, Zahara and Pax, as well as having a biological daughter Shiloh, are reportedly desperate to find another girl to help young Zahara feel more settled within the family.

Not only is Angelina looking to adopt from Burma but she is also reportedly going to use her role as a UN Goodwill Ambassador to help the country.

A source was quoted as saying; “Angelina feels she is barely making a dent in the suffering she sees throughout the Third World as she travels incognito to different countries as a United Nations representative.

She’s in talks to go into Burma and help with students and AIDS victims who are suffering terribly.”

Angelina in the past has made no secret of her hopes to expand her family saying; “I want to create a rainbow family. That’s children of different religions and cultures, from different countries.

I believe I’m meant to find my children in the world somewhere and not necessarily have them genetically. I like to think with every adoption I’m saving another child from an orphanage.”

Meanwhile, Angelina revealed she is shocked by her reputation as a man-eater, insisting she has only ever slept with four men.

The Oscar-winning actress claims she has only had sex with her current lover Brad Pitt and her other former husbands Johnny Lee Miller and Billy-Bob Thornton and one nameless man.

Angelina told Britain’s Cosmopolitan magazine; “It was never true. I had only slept with four men in my life, and I married two of them!”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have created such a solid relationship, they have never discussed marriage and never plan to make their union official. Jolie insists the bond they have created, since they began dating in 2005, is stronger than marriage.

She also confesses they have been put off stepping down the aisle by their previous failed unions. She says, “Brad and I have never discussed (marriage), but I would assume – because we both went down that road before – it’s not the contract or the ceremony that makes you feel solid.

We’ve gone the other way back round, and maybe there is something to that – maybe it’s hard work and the exhaustion and the children that make you feel solid.”

Sometimes celebrities drop their guard and reveal a little too much about their opinions or personal lives. And from our vantage point, it looks like Angelina Jolie may have done a bit of foot-eating herself.

The Girl Interrupted actress was talking to a guy pal of hers about partner Brad Pitt’s habits with money. And it wasn’t very flattering.
She said, “I won’t talk to Brad about this because you know how he is financially, which is stupid. Someone has to make the big decisions, though. He’ll put money into things — but it’s bizarre! It doesn’t always make sense to me.”
“The reality is, we’re not a company together. Things should be separate. I make my own financial decisions. Brad knows there are times he should just be quiet and look pretty.”

BRAD PITT and Angelina Jolie have denied reports their adopted daughter ZAHARA is in need of hip surgery, insisting the news is “not true”. An article in U.S. magazine Star claimed the stars would do “whatever it takes” to cure the two-year-old’s hip dysplasia, a congenital condition, which could affect her ability to walk in the future.

But Pitt’s publicist, Cindy Guagenti, says the reports are all false. She tells gossip website TheCelebrityTruth.com, “It’s not true, and I told the magazine that printed it – but they chose to run it anyways.” Jolie and Pitt adopted Zahara from Ethiopia in 2005.

Angelina Jolie has defied growing speculation about her rapid weightloss, insisting she eats a fried breakfast every day.

The actress has recently come under scrutiny for her thin frame, but Jolie insists she is currently living on a diet of fried eggs, bacon and sausages. She says, “I’ve never been a fitness fantastic. I’m lucky I can eat pretty much what I want.”
