Evan Rachel Wood’s ‘Omen’ Experience
Evan Rachel Wood is shunning her new found celebrity status and is describing being mobbed by the paparazzi as being “like something out of ‘The Omen’.
The young actress, who is currently dating shock rocker Marilyn Manson, insists she is not cut out to live her life in the spotlight.
She revealed to Britain’s The Times newspaper; “Last night I went out and there are literally people jumping on my car and banging on the windows.
It reminded me of a scene from ‘The Omen’, with the monkeys jumping all over the hood, I found it horrifying!
I’m a shy person, and this whole celebrity thing is just not for me. I’m literally not built for this.”
Evan also revealed that she believes her new movie ‘Across The Universe’ will help her get away from the “troubled teenager” role she first became famous for in the movie ‘Thirteen’.
She said; “When I did ‘In Bloom’ with Uma Thurman I said to them, ‘This is the last time! This is my last teenage role. I’m going into that cocoon and I’m coming out as an adult.’ ”
Meanwhile, Evan has confessed she is fed up with people mistaking her Beatles tribute tattoo for a ferret and is considering covering it up.
The beautiful star decided to get a strawberry shaped etching while filming her latest movie but wants to hide it because of the comments that have been made about it.
She told People magazine; “I’m going to get it covered up because nobody can figure out what it is.
It’s supposed to be a strawberry with leaves in the shape of a bird, but everybody says, ‘Is that a ferret sticking out of an apple?’ ”
Evan revealed she has three tattoos and her favorite is the present she got on Valentine’s Day with boyfriend Marilyn.
She said; “I have a black heart. It was my Valentine’s Day present this year. Somebody came to the house. We both got black hearts. It represents mad love.
My other tattoo is a lightning bolt, for David Bowie, who inspired me to act and sing.”
