Britney Spears pays her own way
Adamant to make it back to the top on her own terms, Britney Spears is shilling out her own cash to resuscitate her music career. The pop princess tossed in $30,000 (Rs 12 lakh) to make her latest music video Get Back.
Those close to the situation claim that Britney “funded the promo for comeback single Get Back because she was going against the wishes of her label, Jive Records”.
A source told E!, “There’s no real reason for her to pay for a video herself unless it’s about creative control. If the label pays for the video, they hire the director and the rest of the creative team. I suspect this is her wanting to steam ahead and answer her critics now, while her label wants to wait.”
