Beyonce Knowles had a dramatic start to her solo gig in Florida by tumbling down the stairs as she made her entrance.

The 25-year-old only suffered damage to her pride after the fall at the Amway Arena in Orlando and picked herself up to carry on the show.
Her aides dismissed the fall as “no big deal”, with a representative saying, “Beyonce’s fall… was a mere spot on an otherwise sensational, flawless show.
“It was a case of her coat’s hem getting caught in her shoes, but Miss Knowles picked herself right up, without missing a beat, showing to all that she is the best.”

Footage of the tumble has been posted on YouTube, despite pleas from the singer for her fans to keep it to themselves.

Beyonce hurtles head-first down the stairs in the centre of the stage, before managing to grab her microphone and carrying on with the song.
Earlier reports claimed that the singer cut her leg during the fall, forcing her to sit down for one song, but her publicists insisted Beyonce was unhurt.
