Paris Hilton turns Buddhist
New reports are claiming Paris Hilton has turned to Buddhism in hopes she will avoid going to jail.
The sexy socialite, who has been senteced to do at least 23 days in jail for driving with a suspended licence, was recently spotted in Bodhi Tree bookstore in Hollywood where she was seen buying a spiritual tome.
Earlier this month she was also seen holding onto a Bible along with a self-help manual guide.
Paris has reportedly been told by her lawyers she needs to “live like a nun” if she is looking to avoid doing time. Paris has told friends she has given up alcohol and partying and is dressing more sophisticated.
A friend of the troubled star said; “Paris’ attorneys have insisted she live like a nun. She has been strictly advised to stop acting like a Hollywood brat and appear more humble as they battle to keep her out of jail. They have ordered her to show a judge she has some humility and social responsibility if she is going to have her sentence reduced on appeal.
That means no booze, no parading round in skimpy outfits, no partying. She’s got to stick with her family and take on a healthier regime.”
Paris will begin her sentence at the female only Century Regional Detention Centre in Lynwood California on June 5. Paris herself has admitted how worried she is going to jail but claims her family and friends are keeping her spirits up.
She said; “I’m really scared right now, but I’m trying to stay strong.
I’ve been concentrating hard on keeping busy with workouts and my family. I’m doing OK. All the support I have had from people has really helped.”
